Human Grade vs. Feed Grade Pet food. What's the difference?

Have you ever wondered what really goes into the products you feed your dog? So have we. That’s the very principle Wet Noses was founded on. Our founder, Jasmine, couldn’t stand the thought of feeding her dog weird stuff that you either 1. Dont know what exactly is in it, or 2. You don’t know exactly how its made. She set out to change that.

Most products out there for pets are made with “feed grade” ingredients. This means the ingredients are not fit for human consumption. In addition, it may include by-products, chemicals, fillers, and parts from “4D” meats: animals which are dying, diseased, disabled, or deceased.  From the beginning, we have gone above and beyond using better ingredients, because dogs deserve the best.

Human Grade is a popular trend in pet food currently, but we aren’t just using it as a tagline. Its something we live and breath. We don’t just use Human Grade ingredients, we designed a state-of-the-art facility that is USDA certified Human Grade. Meaning our products are 100% Human Grade, from the inside out. As deep-down dog people, this is the least we can do for our best friends.

If you wouldn’t eat it, why feed it to your dog?
